Centrally located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Gurdwara Nishkam Seva is a place of worship where all are welcome. Regular services are held on Sundays and Fridays. A free community meal is served after each service. Kirtan (singing of hymns) is conducted in Gurmukhi (language of Sikh Scriptures) and English translation is displayed on the screens.
Sikh faith was founded in 15th century by Guru Nanak, who preached truthful living, universal brotherhood and unconditional service for humanity, often known as NISHKAM SEVA.
The three major aspects of Guru Nanak's teachings are the guiding principles for Sikhs :
Naam Jaapna : Recite the name of true lord
Kirat Karni : Earn your living by honest means
Vaandh Ke Chakkna : Share your blessings with the needy
